Dr. Sastry was shocked into awareness of the dangers of such toxic chemical compounds by the death of one of his colleague Dr. Bakshi and his family members who had perchance consumed food contaminated with a chemical insecticide at their residence. Resigning his lucrative job, as far behind as 1946, while he was working in the Biochemical and Synthetic Products Ltd., at Hyderabad, India, as the Head of the Department of Pharmacology, he plunged into the research and practical study of Herbs and plants which are Medicinal and Food oriented, for he found that Chemical Poisons were inadequate for his purpose.

His arduos practical work,(by the co-operation extended by the Chief Conservators of Forest of Mysore, Kerala, Maharashtra, Srinagar, Andhra Pradesh and Kasouli belt in the Himalayan ranges), Were crowned with success after botonising Four to Five Thousand Metallic Hill Oriented Herbs, from the year 1946 to 1959, with the invention of the most interest inviting insecticide, being Non-poisonous, Non-toxic to Human beings and Pets, but at the same time destructive to insect and pest menace.. Dr. Sastry's formulations and the basic values of his research are Eco-friendly, Effective, Economical and Safe in nature.
